Winner begins to openly challenge us. At our age, losing out is something we are not taught to bow down to, we fought hard against them. Most of our fight will lead us straight to the principal room. However, we are also prone to challenge academically. Though we are bad in the teachers’ book, we are still good with our own books.
Valentine’s Day was around the corner. At that time, Bitch were all single, as we realized that it is better to be admired and loved then to love.
If you think that Valentine’s Day to us, are all about lovely dopey puppy love, then you are wrong.
For us, it’s a day, whereby popularity is measured, reputation is enforced, and it’s a day whereby the clique with the highest popularity claims the game.
The First Valentine’s Day in our school, we claimed the game. That day marked our position in the school, the terror we first spread around the school. As long as you receive gifts from the most respectable seniors, and the most gorgeous guy in the school, people will tend to think twice before even staring at you in the eye.
Last year, K, received a gift from one of the infamous clique leader. As usual she is always popular among the infamous. It does come in handy though, with such powerful back up.
I received a gift from Z; we both know that it is just for reputation sake nothing much special. We did this to support each other clique. Z’s clique (Boyz) at that time was fighting for the top in the boys’ clique. Z played the game well too, knowing that having ties with the popular girl’s clique will benefit. Having another support is definitely better than having another opposition. I played along.
L received gifts from the most gorgeous guy, pulling us even higher up the scale. S and J both play their part in helping us climbed the ladder, by having lots of gifts from various part of the school.
Our reputation was good, hanging out with only the best; even rumors are like sweets given out to the people in return for their support. Everything was prefect, we are claimed the game.
Until this year, they try to destroy us during this critical day.
